Around the world, rural women face inequality when it comes to access to services, resources and education. The empowerment of women globally is an urgent requirement to help bring about an end to extreme poverty and discrimination. In Kenya alone, women provide 80% of all farm labour.
Volunteering in Kenya provides an opportunity not only to experience an amazing country, its culture and people, but to make a difference to some of those affected most by poverty as well as HIV/AIDS.
We are excited to announce that Ecologia and our partner, International Peace Initiatives (IPI), will be running a new set of skills trainings for HIV and poverty affected mothers in Meru, Kenya, enabling sustainable futures!
