Show your support for Sky Is The Limit and celebrate the memory of our beloved Rose.
Rose Mugenyi, founder of Sky Is The Limit in Uganda, passed away on 9th December 2021 due to the Coronavirus. She will be dearly missed by all at Ecologia Youth Trust, her family and friends, and by the children whose lives she has helped make better. Rose Mugenyi was an incredible woman who dedicated her life to helping children.
Rose first set up Sky Is The Limit while working as a health visitor in Uganda. She saw that many of the children in Fort Portal, Uganda, weren’t able to go to school as their families were often too poor or ill to support their children’s education. Of the children who were lucky enough to attend school often the schools could not support pupils who needed extra care and support, such as providing a daily school meal to help curb hunger and support the children’s development.
Rose committed her life to helping children build a bright future for themselves. With her hard work and the support of the many people inspired by her, Sky Is The Limit now supports 400 children, aged 3-14 years, including 96 residential pupils who are either orphaned or whose parents and care-takers are unable to care for them. These children lived with Rose at her home – Noah’s Ark – where she gave them a warm and loving home to thrive in. A former trustee – Henrietta Rose – showed an incredible love for Sky Is The Limit. Henrietta encouraged us at Ecologia Youth Trust to begin working alongside Rose in 2014 to support disadvantaged children in Uganda. Rose’s dedication to the 400 children in her care
was inspirational.
In the wake of Rose’s passing, we are in a dire need of fundraising so that we can continue her work with children. There is an urgent need for your support today.
We need to raise £15,000 to keep Noah’s Ark going.
We need your help to make sure that these children – who have lost their families to HIV/AIDS – can continue to receive the care, support and education they need in order to thrive and reach their potential.
We ask that you celebrate Rose’s life with us and honour her memory by donating a gift to
her memorial fund:
Donate to the Rose Mugenyi Memorial Fund here.
The funds will be used to ensure the continuation of Sky Is The Limit Children’s Centre, but more importantly, that the children who benefit can continue to access the daily meals, education and support they need to build happy healthy and sustainable lives.
