In July 2014, a group of 12 pupils from St Paul’s Girls’ School (including 3 from Bristol Grammar School and 1 from Bedales School) visited Kitezh with their Russian teacher Irina Ninnis, to experience Russian culture within the Kitezh Children’s Community.
We are excited to announce that Ecologia and our partner, International Peace Initiatives (IPI), will be running a new set of skills trainings for HIV and poverty affected mothers in Meru, Kenya, enabling sustainable futures!
IPI has just completed the first year of its Ecologia-sponsored tailoring training for 15 vulnerable Kenyan women who would not usually be able to access such a course – and it’s been a real success!

THIRTY young people between 15-25 years old met at Orion Community in Russia in Spring 2012, to create a theatrical performance together! They came from England, Moscow and Kitezh Children’s Community in Russia. Together they created the story, the songs, the music, and after only one week they performed their show to an audience in Moscow!
In 1995 Ecologia Trust was registered as a Scottish charity. For the previous eight years Liza Hollingshead, the founder and current director, had been organising adult citizen diplomacy tours, youth exchanges and students’ ecology education field work in Russia.
Orion 2010 Appeal – protect our children and our goats! At the end of August 2010 we experienced two nights of terror at Orion. Some strangers came at night, and shot down three goats of our small herd.
