Since 2017, our Scotland-based Growing2gether programme has transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people and children throughout Highland.
Currently the main activity of Ecologia Youth Trust, it consists of two main services:
The flagship Growing2gether programme supports young people facing challenging circumstances to connect to their community as mentors to children in need of extra support.
The follow-on, Growing2gether in the Community programme provides the opportunity to deliver youth-led community projects, benefiting those in need in the young people’s local area – especially in the face of Covid-19 and the challenges it brings. Find out about the impact the In The Community project has had with our latest impact report.
One-to-one and group mentoring services are also offered by Growing2gether to young people needing some extra support, and we are currently offering digital alternatives for both of our main programmes during the Covid-19 lockdown.
I finally feel I am ok as a person. I always thought everyone else was better than me. This group helped me try different things.”
You can find out the full details of these programmes and how to get involved on Growing2gether’s own website:
Initial studies show that 84% of participants have reached a ‘positive destination’ including work, training or further study.
