These dates are based on 3-month stays, which we recommend, although some volunteers may choose to stay for only 2 months.

Usually the Kitezh minibus will meet you and take you directly to Kitezh or Orion. The journey takes 2 hours to Orion, and 5 hours to Kitezh. However, if this is not possible, one of our students will meet you and take you to stay at a hostel overnight, and put you on the public bus to Kitezh the next day. Your visa allows you to stay
for an extra few days in Moscow at the end of your
volunteering period if you wish.

We will send you more detailed volunteering information when we receive it. Your application is sent to Kitezh or Orion for their agreement to accept you into the volunteering programme. You can state your preference on the form, or leave it up to them to decide where you are most needed.

Then you will be asked to call our office for a phone interview, to make sure you know what is expected of you, and what you can expect from being a volunteer.

Please do start to prepare for your volunteering experience
at Kitezh-Orion at least 4 months before you plan to travel,
as arranging visas and planning your visit all takes time.

Costs

Volunteers contributions help to support Kitezh and Orion's sustainability, which is why we ask you to pay for your stay.

All costs below include Pre-Departure information and support, Visa Support (also known as an invitation), transfers to/from Moscow airport, accommodation, meals and support from Ecologia Youth Trust before, during and after your volunteering stay.
