Our Key Projects
RussiaOur work with Kitezh Children's Community includes our current Appeal for a new £500,000
Education Centre in Kitezh, running volunteer programmes in both Kitezh and Orion Communities, and building a new Family House in Orion. We also support professional training for the foster parents and teachers to attain higher education and to travel abroad for training and experience. Please
look at our Kitezh-Orion Wishlist.GeorgiaWe raised the funds for a young boy Datuna to have a life saving
operation in Scotland in August 2011. A further £20,000 is needed to assist with his ongoing mobility needs. We support a cultural exchange programme for children from Thornlie School, Wishaw, a deprived area in Glasgow, and Temi, a community for socially vulnerable children in Georgia.
ThailandOur
first three year project supporting the Burmese migrants displaced by the 2004 tsunami was successfully completed. We're pleased that the Big Lottery Fund will support a further 3 years to strengthen community organisations for the women and children, and promote the migrant's human rights through the provision of legal aid clinics and labour associations.
